“MONGOL ART” group exhibition

B. Baatarzorig - Childhood - Oil on canvas - 100x150 cm

Exhibition dates: July 31 – August 07, 2006

In commemoration of the 800th anniversary of the Great Mongolian Empire, XanaduART gallery presents a group exhibition by B. Baatarzorig, Ts. Khongor and B. Nomin entitled “Mongol art”. The artists are recent graduates of the Institute of Fine Arts in Ulaanbaatar: B. Baatarzorig and B. Nomin have specialized in traditional Mongolian painting, while Ts. Khongor is a painting major. “Mongol art” exhibition provides a modern take on traditional Mongolian painting coupled with a non-conformist composition style. The juxtaposition of traditional Mongolian painting by B. Baatarzorig and B. Nomin with Western style semi-abstract oil paintings by B. Baatarzorig and Ts. Khongor creates an interesting visual element.
